ABSTRACT

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) shows unique advantages in the field of adjuvant treatment of gastric cancer. The main mechanism of TCM in improving gastric cancer includes regulating cell proliferation and apoptosis, reversing cell resistance, reducing the ability of invasion and metastasis and epithelial-mesenchymal transformation, regulating immune function, inhibiting neovascularization, regulating autophagy exosome, and ferroptosis.

ABSTRACT

[Objective]Discussion on academic ideas and clinical experience of Professor XIE Jingri in treatment of ulcerative colitis(active phase). [Method] From the disease affiliation, etiology and pathogenesis,syndrome differentiation, clinical adding and subtracting, disease aftercare to expound the academic viewpoints and clinical experience of Prpfessor XIE Jingri in treating ulcerative colitis(active phase), summarize his prescription regularity and treatment characteristics,and put an example to exemplify that.[Results]Professor XIE Jingri thinks that spleen deficiency is its fundamental pathogenesis,dampness-heat is the key factor of attack, the liver is closely related to the lung, spleen and large intestine,it could adjust the emotions and circulation of Qi, blood and body fluid.Therefore,we shuold take the method of strengthening spleen and nourishing Qi and dampness-heat clearing simultaneously as basic therapy, and pay more attention to the treatment lying in regulating the liver, use the method of regulating qi activity and activating circulation to remove blood stasis, focus on disease aftercare at the same time,the clinical therapeutic effect is satisfied.[Conclusion]The clinical experience of Professor XIE Jingri in treatment of ulcerative colitis(active phase) could effectively alleviate symptoms and reduce relapse rate,it is worth to be summarized and popularized.

ABSTRACT

Objective To survey the knowledge of the Urumqi population in Xinjiang on the awareness and the protection of ultraviolet (UV) irradiation.Methods Three hundred and twentyfour subjects from Urumqi were investigated with a questionnaire about the basic knowledge of UV,the UV protection methods,the awareness and application of sunscreens,and the channels through which they acquired the knowledge.Results A total of 324 subjects completed the questionnaire.Only 78.0% knew the harmful effects of UV,62.0% of them knew that UV could lead to skin photo-aging,and 54.9% knew that UV irradiation could cause skin cancer.Sunscreens were the main choice for UV protection (58.0%).Regarding sunscreens,38.3% subjects knew the meaning of SPF,and only a small percentage of subjects (17.3%) were aware of the meaning of PA.About 25.3% of subjects applied sunscreens every day,43.2% used sunscreens sometimes,and 18.5% did not use it at all.The main factor of choosing sunscreens was brand popularity and the main information sources to get the knowledge of UV and UV protection were TV advertisements.Conclusions This study shows that the knowledge of UV and UV protection of the Urumqi population is acceptable,but the protections are insufficient,which should be strengthened and guided through dermatologists and multiple media.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the clinical curative effect of photorejuvenation of photodamaged skin by intense pulsed light (IPL) and 755nm laser. Methods A total of 187 patients were treated with a series of five or more full-face treatments using IPL and 755nm laser alternatly. After the treatement, the patients and physicians subjectively evaluated improvement in five aspects, including color of the face, telangiectasia, pore, pigmentation, and skin texture.
